The Solution to Underground Pipe Replacement. 100 Year Life Span, Root Proof, and Installed Without a Trench or Property Damage.

About PowerPipe and Trenchless Technology
Trenchless pipe replacement or Pipe Bursting is a method of replacing old pipe with new, of the same, or larger inner diameter. Our tools do this by pulling a hardened steel splitting head through the old pipe. This form of pipe replacement requires large amounts of pulling power, which our tools provide. The new pipe is attached to the back of the splitting head and is pulled in as the old pipe is split and expanded. The new pipe follows the path of the old one and lies in its rubble. Less excavation, less restoration, the ability to avoid obstacles, makes Pipe Bursting the wave of the future.

Materials and Use
Our tools are designed for use with Extra Molecular Weight High Density polyethylene pipe. Polyethylene pipe is joined by heat fusion. The ends of the pipe are melted and then the melted ends are held together and allowed to cool. The result is a seamless connection that provides the same strength as any other part of the pipe. Normal pipe couplings can be used for attachment to existing plumbing. This pipe is available in twenty or forty foot lengths. High-density polyethylene pipe is used worldwide for pressure water, sewer and natural gas utilities. Heat fusion and the pipe itself have been proven in these applications.
How Does Zoom’s Trenchless System Work?
Zoom’s method replaces existing underground pipe, of the same or larger diameter, by digging small entry and exit holes at the beginning and end of the damaged pipe. A steel cable is then pulled through the existing pipe and a splitting wedge is attached to the steel cable at the entry hole. The hydraulic puller is attached to the exit hole and the power supply pulls the new pipe through the damaged pipe, underground, without having to dig up your cherished landscaping.
Zoom uses Polyethylene pipe exclusively for your home sewer. Because of its unique properties and flexibility, it will not corrode or be harmed by chemicals. It’s so flexible that even earth movement can’t break it. This guarantees that your sewer will be intact for your lifetime.
Conventional Methods
If you’ve gotten advice from the conventional-method plumber, your property may never be the same. This is what could happen… Your driveways, and gardens, treasured trees and rose bushes, and the special places that you cherish, may all be changed forever. That driveway may always reveal an ugly scar after being trenched. The family tree in your yard that has entertained and comforted your children through the years has to be cut down. You’ve chosen an outdated system that could change how you feel about your house and property for a very long time.
No Trenches Needed
When Zoom replaces your sewer, you may not even detect that the job has been done – because there is no trench needed. With Zoom, your home sewer replacement doesn’t have to be costly or complicated. The age of environmentally-friendly sewer replacement is here.
Did You Know That Your Sewer Line Can Pollute Our Planet?
Today our nation is experiencing a rapid increase in the pollution of our beautiful waterways and shorelines, rivers and bays, caused by thousands of Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO). SSO’s occur from excessive rainfall or snowmelt infiltrating the ground, then leaking into damaged home sewer systems. Root intrusion and earth movement can also cause sewer breakage and collapse.
What Happens When There is an SSO?
A Sanitary Sewer Overflow can spill raw sewage into basements or out of manholes and onto city streets, playgrounds and streams before it can reach a treatment facility. These events expose all of us to unhealthy conditions. The EPA tells us that about 70 to 80% of SSO events are caused by damaged home sewer lines. That is why they have initiated a water cleanup campaign targeting the year 2015 for home sewer laterals to be replaced. You can be part of this exciting campaign and become the environment’s friend.
